He smiled softly at the other. “Must be psychic” he half laughed.
Hearing his words of recovery he tapped back in to his own experiences. The doctors had told him that before things went worse, it was to keep him strong. Though, he couldn’t tell that to the male he’d just met. “Ventus huh? Cool name” he gave a quick nod of approval.
He tapped Ven’s leg through the blankets.
“Hey.. At least you’re getting better right?” He smiled reassuringly. “Do you get taken out often by friends and family?”Ven laughed at Noctis comment. This was the first time that he has laughed ever since his friends came in and remember the good times. He faintly blushed, but it wasn’t noticeable, unless Noctis saw it. “Well yea I guess. I mean I have a 50/50 of life or death.” He says while trying to remember if his parents or friends took him out. “Yea, but only for like 5 mins. So we just decided to just stay here in this room. But the other day was out and I could only be out for at least 10-14 mins.” He explained to Noctis.
“Fifty-fifty chance eh?” Noctis averted his gaze from the boy, looking out of the room, down the corridor, watching a few of the nurses walking around. He wanted to help Ven, if he wasn’t going to survive this, he at least wanted to do something for him.
“Hey Ven… do you like to read? Got any favourite book? Or even favourite films?” He paused thinking he could look like a complete crazy stranger who’s wandered off the street to pester him. “Got any favourite snacks?” he added looking slightly shy.
I’ve got so much money It would take a lifetime to count it all, if I can at least get the boy something. A portable DVD player, an Ipod, some books.. just something..
