Noctis was at his local hospital, receiving more medication after he recovered from his terminal illness. He was a cancer survivor. The king surely thought the prince would perish, through gods lucky hand he gave Noctis another chance at life, never taking it for…

Noctis took a better look at the blonde, his approach normally defensive but knowing he was here in this ward, in that bed - it was for one reason only. The prince had no reason to be defensive or rude, instead taking a different approach.. Being nice.
“Hey, I’m.. I’m good” he didn’t want to make the blonde feel awkward, asking how he was.
His blue eyes wondered softly over his features. “Sorry if I was intruding.. This was.. This was my bed a while back..” He said with a small shrug.

Ven smiled and shook his head. “Its alright.  I get people who is a survivor come into my room and say the exact same thing you said.  So you’re a survivor as well?” He asked while getting comfortable in his bed.  He moved his head to the side, signaling for the young man to take a seat next to him. “So how long are you a survivor?”

“5 months” he replied simply. “So I’m guessing you’ve been here either that long or you were transferred?” He sat near him on the edge of his bed. “I’m Noctis by the way…” He paused looking over the blondes features.

/his eyes.. They’re so bright../ “so how bad is your illness? I mean, can you get up and do stuff?”

“How did you know that I was here for 5 months.” Ven teased while smiling at Noctis. “I’m Ventus or Ven for short.” He introduced himself.  He shifted in his bed a little, trying to get comfortable. “Well the doctors say that I’m recovering, but not as quick as they thought to be.  I can get up and do stuff for a certain amount of time.” He replied to the questions that Noctis was giving him.

He smiled softly at the other. “Must be psychic” he half laughed.
Hearing his words of recovery he tapped back in to his own experiences. The doctors had told him that before things went worse, it was to keep him strong. Though, he couldn’t tell that to the male he’d just met. “Ventus huh? Cool name” he gave a quick nod of approval.
He tapped Ven’s leg through the blankets.
“Hey.. At least you’re getting better right?” He smiled reassuringly. “Do you get taken out often by friends and family?”
