The prince paused for a moment, The red heads words hanging in the air, the only noises heard was their breathing and the clock ticking away.
“Recon? You don’t look like one of the guards. They all wear uniform..”
he raised an eyebrow, curious as to who he really was.
“Nice to meet you.. Axel” he didn’t offer his name, because if he was one of the guards checking up on the castle he would know who he was protecting.. surely?
Axel kept his hands behind his back and looked around the room. The quiet was certainly bothering him, and the repetitive ticking rang in his ears and made them twitch.
“Guards?” The man tilted his head, confused. “I saw no guards, and I’m definitely not one of them. If there were any I doubt they would’ve let me in.” He paused a moment and waited for the other to give his name, but he didn’t. Did he actually think he was a guard? Even if he seemed like it, Axel would be one lousy guard for disturbing the raven.
“I’d really like to know your name at least. Then you can kick me out if you want.”
He immediately jumped up as Axel asked for his name. It was rather shifty for someone to just be doing recon on the castle and not being a guard or a visitor. “You don’t know who I am? Do you even know where you are?” he sighed and quickly added “It’s Noctis..”
