The pianist blinked his eyes at the information, so this was just to find a certain person or so that would control his fate here in this place. That was not at all comforting, but it was understandable.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, though I do not know the right formality that I should use…-!” which was true, seeing as his words were becoming hesitant because he was still learning to speak normal English that he was hearing.

But his thought was cut short when that hand was placed upon his shoulder, shaking it just slightly. He did think it held some good meaning, so he smiled back, “I thank you Noctis.”
