_{The king extended his hand to shake Roxas’. It was a brief shake but a polite one. “Pleasure to meet you Roxas” he added with a genuine smile.}

_{“Don’t be afraid of us lot, we’re all friendly really” he chuckled. “..And please, help yourself to food and drink on the far side” The king patted Noctis’ shoulder and walked away, smiling at Roxas as he did.}

_{“T-that wasn’t so bad, right?” he said trying to make Roxas feel better after his first encounter with the king.}

“I felt like I was going to pass out from nervousness…” He said trying to calm himself down by taking deep breaths. “I really need a drink” 

They walked over to the table on the far side. Roxas had never seen so much delicious food all in one place. “Wow….your world makes me feel so much like….. a commoner” He said with a slight laugh. 

_{Noctis couldn’t help but feel slightly embarrassed at his comment. It was completely different to the outside world, everyday life. He worried Roxas wouldn’t settle in, wouldn’t get used to it. He hoped it would be okay however.}

_{“Really? I don’t pay much attention” he said bringing himself back from his thoughts. “It’s quite over done tonight..” he said trying to reassure the boy it wasn’t always this fancy, even though it was.}

_{“And hey.. father seemed to like you, don’t worry your cute self.” He quickly kissed roxas on the head whilst no one was looking.}
