Axel was taken aback slightly. Well, that was odd.
“Ah, it’s fine. I’m not sure if I would be cut out for a job in a castle anyway.” He chuckled nervously. “Wouldn’t wanna mess anything up.” He smiled at the other, teasing him ever so slightly. “Just met me and offering me a job?” He chuckled, trying to lighten up the situation. “It’s fine, don’t be embarrassed.”

The waitress soon arrived, luckily.

“Right, of course” he started to feel awkward. The prince hadnt been like it in a long time, he couldn’t take his eyes off of the red head and he sincerely hoped the male didnt find him boring.
“Ahh, I’ll have the steak, medium rate, caesar dressing on the side” he smiled at the waitress, picked up his glass and sipped again.
“Is there anything else you’d like to know?” He wanted to get to know the male which was weird, most dates didnt work out.

He nodded, taking a sip of his wine again. He’d noticed that his hands were shaking just the slightest, as they always did when he was nervous. He internally cursed himself, what was there to be nervous over?

Axel ordered a meal as well, thanking the waitress as she left.

“Hmm. Is there anything in particular that I should know? .. I’m not very good at small talk, I guess.” He chuckled. It was true, his last date had to have been at least a year ago… And he hadn’t improved his conversation since…

“Erm…” He thought long and hard, he didnt know what else to tell the red head.
“So how did the conversation come up of you going on a date then, with your friends i mean? Did they force you, or did they assume it was time for you to ‘get out there’ ” he said mimicking his own friends who said the same to him.
